October seems to be a great month to support the cross country meets and Kelsey once again raced on October 13th in Bellevue. She had another great race despite not having ran for a few days due to a shin splint issue. We were proud of her for giving it a go and she was more than pleased with a participants ribbon as it was not a red ribbon as she will tell you is the only thing she ever gets. I don’t think she even understood that a participant ribbon means you didn’t place, but all she cared about was the color….lol
Kelsey loves her coach (Daryl) and he is great to help the girls warm up, get the shoes on just right and even drops them by the restroom and delivers them to the starting line all with precision and exact timing.
Is it any wonder this is a great sport, look at the beautiful scenery on a fall day that she is priveledged to enjoy!
Oh yeah, there is that participant ribbon, but hey, it isn’t red, right?
