Kelsey and Jenna at Seattle Children's Hospital |
Kelsey learned how to knit at activity days, and loved it! We decided that she should knit some hats for her little friend Jenna who is in Children's Hospital battling leukemia. It only took her about 2 hours to knit one hat and she was pretty excited about her finished product. It was even more fun to take them to Seattle Children's Hospital and hand deliver them to little miss Jenna. We've gotten to go and spend many hours with Jenna the last two Friday nights. It has given her parents a much needed break and an opportunity to be together. They have been splitting their time between hospital and home. They cross paths, but rarely get an opportunity to just have the two of them. Kelsey has loved the opportunity to go and do crafts, play camping, play rock concert, and of course ride the bikes up and down the halls of Children's.
