Here Comes Peter Cottontail

The traditional neighborhood egg hunt...how hard can it be to get everyone to look at the camera...sheesh!

Wow, that Easter bunny is sure getting tall...oh the places he hides eggs!

Spencer searched for eggs around the house and scooped them up with his shovel one by one!

Spencer loves "Choco-lat"  He ate his whole bunny before breakfast
Easter, my most favorite holiday as a child is still today my most favorite holiday of the year.  There is something more simple about Easter than Christmas the traditional all time most favorite holiday.  Easter is simple, there is not as much commercialism, not all the money, the retail over-load.  Painting eggs and having picnics and barbeque's.  Spending time with family and friends.  It is everything that Christmas is, with so much less preparation, so much less work, just one or two trips to the store and  Wala...the holiday is here.  It is so much easier to focus on our Savior without the other influences.  It is so much easier to convince a child that the true meaning of Easter is the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior.  I love that we can celebrate Easter and the Easter bunny on Saturday and then spend Sunday at church.  It makes it so much easier to separate the two, unlike Christmas, it is just no so.  We enjoyed this beautiful weekend as family and we enjoyed some much needed sunshine.  The "sun" was the most beautiful gift we could have had this weekend and yes the "son" of God too was a most precious gift.  Happy Easter!
