As if kids don’t get enough surprises, candy, and toys, you have to try and squeeze in another holiday between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Mother Goose visits your house on New Year’s Eve and if you leave your shoes (preferably the biggest ones you have) by the front door, she will fill them up with all kinds of fun things. Our kids need no reminding about this holiday and get just as excited for small things in their shoes as they do for all the presents under the tree on Christmas. Note to self: Less is more, maybe we need to go back to the days when Saint Nick only left you stuff in a stocking hung by the fire place? How did it spill into so much more?
