Kelsey has been awaiting this day for 3 years. Waiting for spring in the 4th grade means that you can finally participate in the school track program. It is only for 4th, 5th, and 6th graders and for a little girl that loves to run, this was a very Loooooooong wait!
Kelsey came home in tears thinking that she would not get to run at the meet as she was assigned to do the long jump. She doesn’t want to long jump, she wants to run. However, the coach is rotating the kids through each event so that they eventually get to experience it all. Kelsey later learned that although she was doing the long jump for school points, she would be allowed to run in the open 75 yard dash and the 600 Meters as well as the open relay. The weather was great and she had a really fun time.
