We have had the privilege and tradition of joining with the Nathan and Victoria Hall family to travel into Seattle by light rail and run the Sea fair Torchlight 5K. The Hall family recently announced that they would be moving to California and with all the preparations to put house on the market and pack up, we thought the Torchlight tradition was going to be a solo affair for Kelsey and I. How on earth would I navigate the light rail to the monorail and to Seattle Center on my own with my 9 year old daughter. I needed Victoria the brain behind our travel and we needed our bodyguard Nathan to protect us on our travels back during the late night hours on the train system. Thank goodness Nathan convinced Victoria to take a break from all the chaos and join for one last hurrah. Kelsey and Allison had a great time high fiving all the kids along the parade route. It was just super fun and they will be missed next year and yes, we will brave it alone or recruit somebody new.
The Hall family made signs to cheer us on at the end of the race. Unfortunately, Victoria took a bunch of pictures and these with my iPod are not the best. Go Kelsey and Go Redheads…Love it!
