New Year's Day is the first day of the calendar year. It is celebrated as a holiday in almost every country in the world. It is a time of gaiety, sharing with friends, remembering the past, and hoping for good things in the future.
Brian and I were lucky enough to have a sitter and go out for a movie "New Year's Day"....How lame of a title is that? O.K., the movie wasn't that great, but getting out of the house was. We enjoyed the night with LeeAnn and John Krohn and actually made it home and in bed before the fireworks began. If you haven't lived in Washington on any major holiday than don't even try to tell us that you know what it feels like to have fireworks (of the illegal variety) go off until 3:30 a.m.. Yeah, just don't even go there!
Welcome 2012, it is going to be a great year and another beginning to Volume II of the Ballard Blotter.
