Choo...Choo...!!!

July 12, 2011 quickly became one of our favorite days of the summer.  Now, it wasn't planned this way, and maybe that is why it was so great?  With our summer play-group on break, we have still been getting together for a few outings and today was a trip to Snoqualmie to the train depot.  To our complete surprise, Thomas the Tank Engine was there and all kinds of preparations were in place for a weekend event, that we were too cheap to purchase tickets for.  With barricades and such in place, to our surprise, they let us all in and we had an up close encounter with Thomas.  The best part was, it was completely free, no crowds, and I didn't have to say no to cotton candy, snow cones, and funnel cakes.  Loved it!!!!

Spencer spotted Thomas from the car window before I ever found a parking place, he was so excited, he could hardly contain himself!

Kelsey was super great today, even with all the younger kids, she managed to enjoy the trip, even though she wasn't really into Thomas!

I am becoming aware of just how difficult it is to capture a group picture.  Even with a quick camera, the probability of getting more than 2 children to look your direction is virtually impossible.  Oh well, I am trying super hard to get over my must have a perfect photo mentality, so here it is!

Spencer was having a ball throwing rocks, Kelsey was trying to avoid getting hit, and baby Blake was more than happy to eat dirt and rocks..Yum, Yum!!!

We were disappointed that the "Big" tree has now been placed in a cage.  It is  just not as fun, when you can't get up there and compare your little self to this GIANT!
